Senior Marketing Manager

The Role

The Senior Marketing Manager role involves setting and overseeing the execution of the marketing strategy for key clients and their individual campaigns, as well as setting the strategy for our internal marketing activities for our teacher websites.

You will be responsible for driving the move to build recurring revenue streams through marketing subscriptions and build strong and effect relationships with clients.

This role also holds responsibility for one of the agency’s key projects, the KE Teacher Connect, involves recruiting teachers and managing the teacher liaison reps, as well as eDM outreach, search engine and social media marketing and monitoring, in order to grow the teacher base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting the strategic direction and management of the Kimberlin Education Marketing function
  • Build client relationships, attend client meetings and set the marketing strategy for client campaigns
  • Translate client marketing briefs into informative briefs for colleagues to execute on
  • Ensure work produced matches the scope and is compliant with industry best practice
  • Suggest improvements to campaigns such as optimising landing pages, user funnels, A/B and multivariate testing of email creative and web pages
  • Conduct quality assurance checking to make sure that the final product looks and performs in line with client and stakeholder expectations
  • Review Google Analytics and other performance metrics to optimise their set-up, their performance and to learn from data collected
  • Prepare reports for client at end of campaigns and to line management on a monthly basis
  • Develop marketing and media kits and come up with marketing promotions and offers to sell to clients
  • Hit revenue and success targets for the performance of the marketing team
  • Develop and execute on the strategy for the Kimberlin Teacher Think Tank project
  • In conjunction with line manager, contribute to the development of the recruitment strategy
  • Manage teacher liaison reps, setting quotas for outreach and developing scripts for phone-calls
  • Execute campaigns to recruit teachers via SEO, SEM, email, social media and display advertising
  • Agree recruitment targets with line manager and track progress toward reaching these goals
  • Develop and execute on the move to a recurring revenue strategy for the business
  • Develop the strategy to convert clients who currently come to us on a campaign basis to paying for a termly subscription to our schools marketing services
  • Identify entry offers and create a process for transitioning
  • Work out the subscription offering and reporting metric
  • Build relationships with clients and offer immense value
  • Maintain and retain clients on an ongoing subscription basis
  • Grow and maintain the KE teacher database and KE Teacher Connect site
  • Be the product owner for the new KE Teacher Connect site
  • Set the strategy for ongoing recruitment of teachers to our eDM database
  • Set a life cycle and retention strategy for all subscribers
  • Achieve growth targets for subscribers
  • Achieve growth targets for resources on the site
  • Work with clients and internal Education team to develop offerings that drive subscribers
  • Determine site improvements and work with the tech and creative teams to develop new features

Academic qualifications

  • Related tertiary qualifications (such as business, marketing or advertising) – would be well regarded although not essential for this role

Work experience

  • At least six years’ of experience in a similar senior marketing strategy role with hands on experience.

Digital skills

  • Experience in optimising landing pages and user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Strong data analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Ability to format data analytics into reports as well as review research and analytics reports to help devise strategic marketing plans for our clients educational programs
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and measurement including Google Adwords
  • Knowledge of existing and emerging social media platforms

IT skills, including the use of

  • Microsoft Office and Google Drive
  • Databases and CRM including Mailchimp, Ontraport and or similar database software programs
  • Solid knowledge of Google Analytics
